All our staff members are friendly and equipped with the skills necessary to assist you during your treatment. We understand that for some patients dentistry or dental procedures can be daunting and our team offers noise cancellation headsets, TV for viewing and can further assist you with use of inhalation sedation.

Our dentists ensure you are informed each step of the way during your procedure and are happy to answer any questions you have in relation to your treatment. We speak fluent Chinese, Mandarin and English.

Meet Our Team

Dr Annie Lin

Annie graduated from The University of Queensland Dental School in 2006. She worked in private practices in Carindale and Manly West before founding Showground Dental with her younger sister Amanda Lin in 2012. Annie pays great attention to detail, which is reflected in her dental career. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry including cosmetics, root canal therapy and crown and bridge. Annie is renowned for her gentle and caring approach and always ensures her patients feel at ease.

Dr Amanda Lin

Amanda graduated from The University of Queensland Dental School in 2008. Ever since, Amanda has worked in both private and public sectors. Amanda takes pride in her experience in all aspects of general dentistry but has a particular interest in minimal intervention and preventative dentistry. Amanda’s motto is that “prevention is better than cure”. She strongly promotes prevention care programs as she believes prevention dentistry is more cost-effective in the long term.

Dr Amy Liu

Dr Amy Liu graduated from Griffith University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science and a Graduate Diploma of Dentistry for which she was awarded an accolade of Academic Achievement Awards throughout her degree. Having grown up in Brisbane, Dr Amy has been committed to providing exceptional dental care in private practice for her local community.

She regularly attends continuing professional development courses to ensure that she is up to date with the most advanced techniques available. Dr Amy thrives on delivering comprehensive, compassionate dental care for all her patients, always discussing her treatment plans thoroughly. She prides herself on her gentle natured approach and believes in going the extra mile to provide a personalised and positive dental experience. Dr Amy also has a calling to dental volunteering and has traveled to the likes of Cambodia and Papua New Guinea in the past. Locally, she volunteers her dental services at the Micah Project Inclusive Health Clinic , an organisation that works with people experiencing poverty and homelessness in Brisbane. Away from the practice, Dr Amy enjoys time with her family and cooking up a storm!

Dr Lydia See

Graduated in 2010 from the University of Western Australia, Lydia has since focused her clinical practice in the areas of special care dentistry (namely with medically complex/compromised, head and neck cancer, dental phobias and geriatric populations) and community dentistry (namely in coordination of volunteering projects for disadvantaged populations).

Pursuing a much love passion, in 2018, she completed a Masters of Science in Geriatric Dentistry at the University of Southern California. Lydia’s experience has spanned across the public and private sectors in general practice and hospital dentistry as well as tertiary education sector as a clinical tutor and senior lecturer. She is currently undertaking post graduate studies in Special Needs Dentistry. In her spare time, Lydia likes to hang out with friends and source the best vegetarian restaurants.

Dr Eliza Chen

Dr Eliza Chen graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Dental Science (Hons) and is a member of the Australian Dental Association. She believes that excellent preventative care and oral health education are paramount and inclusive in providing the best dental service for patients.

Therefore, when you see her for your first check-up and clean, she will most likely give you the low-down on toothbrushing and flossing (if you haven’t already heard it before). With a friendly manner and gentle approach, she looks forward to meeting more people and strives to provide each of her patients a pleasant dental experience. Outside of work, Eliza enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is also a big vegetarian foodie, who likes trying out different recipes. Other than English, Eliza can also converse in Mandarin and basic Hokkien.

Dr David Fan

Dr David Fan graduated from the University of Queensland in 2013 with Bachelor of Dental Science (Class I Honours). He is passionate in delivering exceptional dental services while providing research-informed oral health information to every patient. David currently holds the title of Associate Lecturer at UQ School of Dentistry, and is involved in clinical supervision of dental students. Outside work, David enjoys reading philosophy and history books.

Senior Receptionist Juliet

A graduate of the University of Queensland, Juliet joined the Showground Dental team in early 2022 and fell in love with helping bring smiles to people’s faces. You can find Juliet mainly at the front desk, greeting patients and striving to offer warm, friendly and patient-oriented care.

She is an advocate for patients prioritizing their health and wellbeing, building positive practice relationships and supporting the team as they serve our lovely community.

Her passions in life include volunteering, digital art, bouldering and hiking. She currently has two rescue cats, Olive and Vegemite.

Senior Dental Assistant Karli

Karli’s devotion is being able to help and care for people. With a Certificate III in Dental Assisting, Karli loves being able to provide optimal care alongside the Showground Dental team, with a goal of bringing each patient a smile that enhances their quality of life. To her, there’s nothing better than making a positive difference in someone’s day.

Outside of work, spending quality time with her son, Xavier, and her two fur babies is her greatest passion. She also loves going on outings and day trips with family and friends.

Dental Assistant Nyandeng

A member of the Showground Dental team since 2021, Nyandeng is a Certificate III Qualified Dental Assistant with a wealth of practical experience, a passion for gentleness, and a deep love for her young family. She is currently undergoing a Certificate IV in Dental Assisting and Radiography to continue her career in providing attentive patient care.

Nyandeng enjoys spending valuable time with her three children, Rebecca, Victoria and Jason. She also enjoys jewellery-making, crocheting, knitting, and braiding her children’s hair using the skills she gained during her time as a hairdresser.

Dental Assistant Mei

Mei has been a member of the Showground Dental team since 2022. An undergraduate of the University of Queensland, Mei has developed her skills in a dual role in Reception, and as a Dental Assistant. Her calm and clear manner shines in both of these roles, and she looks forward to assisting patients in both the front and back of house.

Outside of work, Mei enjoys spending time with her family, travelling across the world, and out on the range sharpening her golfing skills.

Volunteering Dentistry

Whenever time allows, Annie and Amanda likes to take part in voluntary work, such as providing dental service to the disadvantaged communities.

Their service groups include newly arrived refugees and rural town residents who would otherwise need to wait for years for dental services.
